  • Record/Vinyl + Digital Album

The Dear Boys’ FAB second 7" ltd. ed. (ONLY 50 copies) single is now available. The 2 Tonys and friends have recorded for your listening pleasure a double 'A side' featuring 2 minutes and 16 seconds of classic punk angst and excitement in 'Blink of an I' and the more melodic catchy pure powerpop 'A Word That Doesn't Rhyme'. The heavyweight vinyl has amazing label artwork, and comes in a picture sleeve with a lyric sheet insert. This double A-side 45 is just £10 UK ($12.50 US) and because we are shipping from both countries this time, postage will be cheaper all around. (Please be sure to state your country of origin under the price when you order so as to pay correct fees and shipping.)

The single is a tonic for your turntable – but for those times when your turntable is not nearby, anyone who buys the 45 gets unlimited streams and free high-quality downloads of these two songs, plus an exclusive bonus: the “A Word That Doesn’t Rhyme (3-min Pop PowerPlay edit).”

    xx The Dear Boys.

A WORD THAT DOESN’T RHYME VERSE 1 You can’t say there’s no other way when you’re the only one I know you know you know you You can’t be the cool cat in town when you say you don’t bring me down You know you know I CHORUS 1 I want to tell you something fresh, you know I wanna I want to say that I did my best but know I I went to make a brand new start you know I I went to find a word that doesn’t rhyme…with heart VERSE 2 You can’t pitch your moon in tune when you joined the chant too soon You know you know you You can’t pry and say it’ll be alright if you don’t believe the hype You know you know I CHORUS 2 I want to tell you something due, you know I I want to say I was always true but know I I went to make a brand new home you know I I went to find a word that doesn’t rhyme… with a-lone VERSE 3 You can’t act all aloof with your truth if you don’t have any proof You know you know you You can’t claim any pain from your gain when the song remains the same you know you know I CHORUS 3 I want to tell you something that, you know I I should have said a heartbreaker back, you know I I went to find … a brand new dove you know I I went to find a word that doesn’t rhyme… Written by Tony Fletcher. As life passes by in a blink of an… I digress Have I won or lost, was my record some warped mis-press Or a No 1, oh the fun, games and what remains kept in my head not to forget, with no complaints Blink of an I am passing by is it too late? In the blink of an eye, my life passes by. I can sit and have a fit ‘bout decisions that I’ve made It can’t be rectified or simplified, the memories just fade Good for the soul to contemplate a greater fate? Best for the brain to take the train with no return date Blink of an I am passing by is it too late? In a blink of an eye, my life passes by. It’s all for the good it’s understood, that’s my guess That pride is justified not cast aside or undressed I play the film again the same refrains, hit rewind repeat and watch the same and don’t delete frames in my mind Blink of an I am passing by is it too late? In the blink of an eye, my life passed me by. Written by Tony Fletcher and Tony Page BMI/PRS/Copyright Control
